ARCHDIOCESE of HALIFAX-YARMOUTH

Archbishop Mancini wishes to advise that the following clergy changes will take August 1, 2012 in the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth.

Fr. Craig Christenson is appointed Pastor of the parishes of St. Augustine’s, Chester and its missions.

Fr. Larry Pitcher is appointed member of the pastoral team caring for the parishes of St. Agnes and St. John the Baptist, Halifax and assistant priest to the pastor, Fr. John Williams.

Fr. Gerald Saulnier is appointed Pastor of the parish of St. Joseph, Kentville,

Fr. Joseph Thomas is appointed Administrator of the parishes of St. Monica, Middleton and St. Louis, Annapolis Royal and their missions.

Fr. John MacPherson, while remaining at St. Ambrose Co-Cathedral, is appointed Pastor of the parish of Our Lady of Lourdes, Melbourne and its missions.

Fr. Keith Billard is appointed Pastor of the parishes of St. Gregory’s, Liverpool, St. Jerome’s, Caledonia and St. Thomas, Shelburne and its missions.

Fr. Heny Smolenaars is appointed Administrator of the parishes of St. Patrick’s, Digby and St. Joseph’s, Weymouth and their missions.

Fr. Craig Cameron is appointed Administrator of the parishes of St. Francis of Assisi, Wolfville and its mission, and St. Anthony’s, Berwick.

Fr. Brian Murphy, pastor at Liverpool and Caledonia, will be retiring from parish ministry.

Archbishop Mancini wishes to advise that the following clergy changes will take August 16, 2012 in the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth.

Fr. Albéni d’Entremont is appointed Pastor of the Parishes of Sainte-Anne, Ste-Anne-du –Ruisseau and its mission, Ste-Agnès, Quinan and Saint-Michel, Wedgeport.

Fr. Wieslaw Papuga is appointed Pastor of the parishes of Stella Maris, Meteghan and Saint-Alphonse de Ligouri, St. Alphonse.

Fr. Greg Sampson, cjm, is appointed Associate Pastor with Fr. Wieslaw Paguga and member of the Pastoral Coordination Team at Stella Maris, Meteghan and Saint-Alphonse de Ligouri, St. Alphonse. He will also provide support to the surrounding parishes in the Clare region.
