Those planning to be married are advised:

•  that at least twelve months notice is required,
• Roman Catholics must obtain a Baptismal Certificate dated within six months of the proposed date of marriage, and
• participation in a Marriage Preparation Program is necessary. 

The Marriage Preparation Program is now done through the Halifax Central Region at St Thomas Aquinas/Canadian Martyrs

If you are getting married at St Agnes or St John the Baptist parishes please contact Father John Williams or Father Larry Pitcher to make an appointment before setting up your marriage preparation course.
